Choice

Long ago in a not so distant land, a young woman made a very difficult decision. It turned her world upside down. But once she made it, she knew she could never go back. It was the right thing to do — she knew that deep down inside. But that didn’t stop the lakeful of tears she shed on that day and on many others afterward. 

Time passed. 

Wounds healed. 

She learned to live and love again. 

And she even forgave herself. 

After all, she had done the right thing. 

Now, years later, it brings her an overwhelming sense of peace to turn to social media for yet another glimpse of the life she so unselfishly gave away that day. She has been privileged to watch her baby girl — now theirs — grow into a beautiful, bright young woman who loves, laughs and really lives. 

She lives. Because of her choice. And the world is a much better place as a result.
