Focus this week on
GOD
GOD
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son
that whosoever believes in him
will not perish
but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his son into the world
to condemn the world,
but that the world through him
might be saved.
John 3:16-27 NIV
As a parent I can’t imagine loving ANYTHING so much that I would sacrifice the life of my child for it. Yet God did just that for us.
He didn’t send Jesus to hunt down corrupt and ungodly people and hurl them into the pit of hell.
No, He wanted to provide a way for our safe passage to heaven for all of eternity.
LORD, you alone are worthy of our worship and praise. Thank you for loving us so much that you allowed Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Give us the ability to show the world around us that condemnation is not Your desire. It is our redemption that you long for — so that we can be with You in paradise. Thank You, LORD.
