When I saw this freaky-looking creature in “Finding Nemo,” I assumed he was the result of someone’s crazy imagination. As it turns out, he was. God’s!
Introducing the Anglerfish or Black Sea Devil.
He makes his home deep in the dark, cold ocean. He has a fishing rod-like thing projecting from his head with a strange little light in the end to attract fish. When unsuspecting creatures get close enough, he sort of inhales them into his mouth. And then SNAP. They can’t escape.
I hope you have a few minutes to watch this video because it is quite fascinating.
