When You Do Wrong, 

Jesus Rescues!

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. 
John 16:33

Can children who attend Vacation Bible School really comprehend the idea of sin and forgiveness? Are we wasting our time trying to talk to them about it? 

Like He does with adults, the Holy Spirit meets children where they are. He tugs at their hearts in just the right way. He prompts VBS leaders to say and do exactly what the children need to hear and see. 

Of course, it’s important to speak in the level of a child and not to talk to them using adult terms. They may not understand what sin is but they are keenly aware of when they have done something bad. They may not comprehend forgiveness but they understand how much better they feel when they come clean about something and say they are sorry. 

I am living proof that a nine-year old can respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and can dedicate her life to Christ. 

So tonight in Bible School, pray for the Lord to take control. Pray for Him to direct you as you minister to these little ones. And know that seeds are being planted and watered and nurtured every day.
