Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them . . . .
Psalm 127:3-5 NIV
Have you ever thought about the responsibility of a father with respect to his quiver full of children? The quiver provides security for his “arrows” — it is his responsibility to be sure they are well cared for.
It’s also his job to make sure the “arrows” are well-prepared to fly when the time comes. And when he shoots them, it is his responsibility to aim carefully at the target.
Yes, daddies are important. First of all, none of us would be here without them. Additionally it is the good father who protects his children and prepares them for the complicated world where we live.
