Do you ever feel like there is something major that has come between you and God?
Sometimes that is the Holy Spirit telling us to address sin in our lives. Sin, really, is the only thing that can cause a chasm between us and the Lord — a distance that can only be bridged by Jesus’ forgiveness.
But sometimes that uneasy feeling can be Satan trying to drive a wedge between us and the Lord. Understand that if you are in the middle of God’s will, Satan is going to come after you. Understand, too, that Satan has no power over God and therefore has no power over you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
Romans 8:35 NIV
If Christ is for us, who can be against us? (see Romans 8:31)
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 NIV
Nothing can rip us from our Father’s hand. Nothing.
Don’t forget it!
