If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship GOD, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship GOD.
Joshua 24:15 MSG
“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship GOD, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today.”
Get on with it. Decide. The LORD — 100% — or not. And, by the way, you’d better figure out how you’re going to explain to Him why you think worshiping Him is a bad idea. Just saying.
“Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living.”
People in our country have gotten lured into the culturally acceptable obsession with finances or beauty or knowledge or babies or sex or drugs. . . . These things, if given too much of our time and attention, become our gods. This, of course, means that we have chosen.
“As for me and my family, we’ll worship GOD.”
Serving God is my choice. I don’t ever want to be outside of His will. He alone is worthy of my adoration and praise!
LORD, I choose you! You are awesome, wonderful, incredible. You are my sustainer, keeper, best friend.
