Looks like I’ll be working on a nursing degree.

Many of you know that our daughter, Lizzie, is starting nursing school this semester. She had orientation on Tuesday and her first classes yesterday. She’ll have six semesters of classes and clinicals. Pretty exciting. 

Lizzie and a classmate were working on calculations yesterday and they got stuck. So whom did she call? Her mother. They were so close to figuring it out. They just needed a little push. I wonder how many calls I’ll get like that over the next six semesters. No matter. I’ll be here for her. 

Isn’t God like that? We try to figure something out and might even be really close. But when we admit our inability to handle things ourselves and turn to Him for help, He is ready and willing to help us. And always will be. 

Lord, thank you for Lizzie — for her commitment to school. Help her to do well. More than that, help us all to remember You are there for us no matter what we are doing. You love us and want success for us. May You be glorified through us.
